I’m Alex B. Cadillac, a queer Canadian writer with way too many ideas. A good portion of these stories are set on a distant planet called Eethen, a nearly-dystopian world ruled by genetically altered legacy families.
My Love Affair With Word Counts
Every writer tracks their progress through writing differently – my personal preference is by word count. Here are some of my personal records for most words, some word war* records and some average word counts for comparison, mostly because I wanted to write this down somewhere.
* A word war is a concept started by NaNoWriMo and tweaked by my personal writing group. Basically, everyone sets a timer, tries to write as much as they can in that timeframe, and then states their word count, possibly shares some or all of what they wrote and moves to the next round.
